Dehradun: In a recent appalling case, a Kenyan woman was allegedly raped by a man she met at a yoga camp run by an internationally-acclaimed yoga guru in Uttarakhand's Rishikesh. The sourec reported that the 31-year-old accused was named Hemant Thapliyal. The police have arrested him on the basis of a complaint lodged by the survivor on Sunday. Muni Ki Reti police station in-charge Ram Kishor Saklani told PTI, the complaint stated the accused met her at a yoga camp on March 7. The woman accepted the offer and he took her isolated waterfall where he allegedly raped her twice. also read A senior citizen was beaten to death while protesting against a sex trade racket Meanwhile, the woman somehow managed to escape from the place and immediately reported the matter to the police. However, the police have registered the case and the accused was arrested. The CCTV footages of yoga camp helped the police to trace the accused, police told PTI. Further investigation in the case is underway.
