Kolkata: An appalling incident recently surfaced in Kolkata when a senior citizen was brutally beaten to death. The 70-year-old was allegedly beaten with sticks, rods and bricks by three people. The man was taken to a hospital but he give away to his injuries. It is worth mentioning here that the man was protesting against a sex trade racket when he was lynched by his family members. The man was protesting against the racket which was operational at his residence in Pabnapara. The deceased was identified as Dukhi Halder, a 70-year-old man.

According to the source report, a man named Shyam Haldar, his wife Chandna and his friend Mantu Halder allegedly used to run a sex racket at the house of the deceased. It is to be noted that the people in the nearby areas said that several people used to come to the house. When the deceased showed his disapproval against the ongoing activities, the three accused allegedly attacked him. The neighbour came to the rescue of the senior citizen and took him to a hospital. The man was initially taken to the Malda Medical College and Hospital after which he was referred to a hospital in Kolkata. However, the victim passed away on his way to the hospital.
However, another sex racket was busted in Pune when the police arrested two men for forcing girls into flesh trade. The police acted on a tip-off and tracked the accused in Viman Nagar, Pune. The police laid a trap for the accused by sending a fake customer. The police successfully rescued two girls. One of the girls rescued was from Uzbekistan. The police seized Rs 5,000 along with two mobile phones and a car.
