Sydney: Former Australia captain and noted commentator Ian Chappell says that the absence of Team India captain Virat Kohli in the last three matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will make a big difference in the batting of the Indian team. Virat will return home from Adelaide after playing in the first match of the four-match Test series starting on 17 December. Various speculations are being made about the performance of Team India due to the absence of Virat. Chappell has said, "When captain Virat returns to India after the first Test, India will face difficulties in team selection. It will make a big difference in the Indian batting order, but it will also help a budding player to show his talent." He said, "There is going to be an interesting match between the two teams and it is the most important selection process. The results will reveal who proved better in the team combination." The 77-year-old Chappell, who captained the Australia cricket team from 1971 to 1975, expressed his opinion not only on India but also on Australia's team combination. He supported young batsman Will Bukowski in the opening, replacing Joe Burns as David Warner's partner.
