Australian team announced for series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka

New Delhi: Australia has announced the squad for the home series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Steve Smith and David Warner,  have returned, while all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has not found a place. Cricket Australia has announced a 14-man squad for the upcoming T20 series. This is being seen as a preparation by the Australian team ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup next year. The World Cup is to be held in Australia.

Former captain Steve Smith and David Warner, who returned from a one-year ban, have been named in the squad. All-rounder Marcus Stoinis has failed to make it to the team. Australia have to play a three-match series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka is to be played in Adelaide from the 27th (October) of this month. The series against Pakistan will begin in Sydney on 3 November. The first match against Sri Lanka will be played in Adelaide on 27 October. The second match is to be played in Brisbane on the 30th while the last T20 is to be played in Melbourne on 1 November.
