Volvo launches first petrol car in premium small SUV segment

Volvo launched the XC40 T4 R-Design petrol variant in the Indian market. The Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design is Volvo's first petrol car in the premium small SUV segment. It has a BS6 petrol engine. The XC40 SUV was only available in diesel engines till now in India. The ex-showroom price of this SUV is Rs 39.9 lakh.

It features a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging for smartphones, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 14-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, dual-zone climate control, front and rear Features like Park-Assist Pilot, Diamond-Cut Alloy Wheels and Powered Tailgate are available.

These cars are coming to the market with turbo engine in the year 2020

The XC40 T4 R-Design is powered by a BS6-compliant, 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine. This engine generates 190hp power and 300Nm torque. The engine is equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This SUV with a petrol engine supports the front-wheel drive, while the diesel engine variant comes in all-wheel drive. The Volvo XC40 petrol variant will compete in the Indian market with vehicles such as the BMW X1 (sDrive 20i xLine), Mercedes Benz GLA (GLA 200), Audi Q3 (30TFSI) and Mini Countryman (Cooper S).
