Make your Diwali healthy with baked chakli recipe

Deepawali is the festival of lights and tasty homemade snacks. It’s incomplete without sharing sweets that celebrate the festive vibe. The important part of this is the traditional savouries to make a heartwarming palate. The most favorite savory snack to indulge in is chakli.

Diwali is also to enjoy quick tasty bites while most often it is fried is not healthy for a person. Chakli is a delightful snack often made in India during the Diwali occasion. Its spiral-shaped crunchy snack made using the perfect blend of lentils and spices. The chakli is prepared using soya flour which is tastier and healthier. 

 

Ingredients for Chakli

1 cup Soya flour 1/2 cup Split black gram flour (urad dal ka atta) 1/8 cup butter 1tsp Red chili powder 1/2 cup Roasted cumin powder Salt to taste

Instructions for baked Chakli recipe

Firstly preheat the oven to 180°C. Then take soya flour, black gram flour, butter, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix it well and then add sufficient water for kneading a soft dough. Put the dough into a chakli press fitted with a chakli attachment. Brush some oil on the baking tray and shape your chaklis onto it. Bake for like 12-15 minutes in a preheated oven and then remove and set aside to cool down. Serve it as quick snacks.
