Dehradun: There will be a ban on any type of exit poll in Uttarakhand from February 10 to March 7. Chief Electoral Officer Sowjanya has issued an order in this regard. CEO Sowjanya said that the Election Commission of India had issued a notification regarding exit polls in view of the assembly elections in the state. The same has been directed in this that from 7 am on 10 February to 6:30 pm on 7 March, any type of exit poll, publication or publicity of its result or publicity in any other manner on behalf of print or electronic media. There will be a ban on spreading. Chief Electoral Officer Sowjanya said that there will be a ban on the display of any kind of election related matter including the results of opinion polls or any other voter survey. The same Election Commission has also banned the broadcast of advertisements without any permission in the 48 hours before the election. According to Chief Electoral Officer Sowjanya, on February 13 and 14, no advertisement of any kind will be published in the print media on behalf of any political party, candidate or organization or person. For this, the certification of the state level or district level MCMC committee will be necessary. The commission has also directed that permission has to be obtained for broadcasting advertisements at least two days before the date of publication on the day of polling and one day before it.
