Banda police reached Punjab to bring Mukhtar Ansari back to UP

Noida:  Mukhtar Ansari's is going to be brought back to Banda today. Police and STF teams have reached Ropar to take on Mukhtar Ansari. A police team has left for Punjab on Monday morning to bring  MLA Mukhtar to Banda Jail. The team includes a PAC company and several Vajra vehicles, as well as ambulances.

According to the information received, CCTV cameras and jammers of Banda Jail are also going to be checked. In-charge Jail Superintendent Pramod Tiwari said that the lighting, drinking water, and cleanliness in the barrack (number 15) of the jail to be repaired. He said that other detainees would not be able to reach this barrack and the three detainees would also be posted inside the barracks.

Mukhtar Ansari was in Ropar Jail: It has been learned that Mukhtar Ansari is was in Ropar Jail in Punjab in one case. The case between the state government and the Punjab government went up to the Supreme Court to bring Ansari. On March 26, the Supreme Court while issuing the verdict, orders have been issued to send Mukhtar Ansari to Uttar Pradesh. The Supreme court directed Mukhtar, who is was in jail in Punjab, to be sent to Uttar Pradesh in 2 weeks. The Supreme Court pronounced this decision on Mukhtar's custody transfer petition.
