Warm Welcome for PM Modi in Guyana Upon arriving in Guyana, PM Modi received a warm reception from Guyanese President Irfaan Ali, along with Prime Ministers Dickon Mitchell of Grenada and Mia Mottley of Barbados, and four Guyanese ministers. The welcome event took place at a hotel in Georgetown, marking the beginning of this important diplomatic visit.
CARICOM’s Role and Significance CARICOM, founded in 1973, consists of 21 nations, including 15 full members and six associate members, with a combined population of about 16 million.
