New Delhi: Amanatullah Khan, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Delhi's Okhla, was declared 'Bad Character' (BC) by the Delhi Police. AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan had approached the Delhi High Court to remove the tag, but on Thursday (January 19) the court rejected his plea. Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain, while delivering the verdict on the matter, said that the Deputy Commissioner of Police concerned has given reasons in support of action against the AAP MLA. Along with this, Judge Sudhir Jain said that if Khan wants, he can approach Delhi Police to remove this tag and submit a memorandum in this regard. After completing the hearing in this case, the judge reserved the decision in October 2022. On March 28, 2022, Delhi's Jamia Nagar Police Station sent a proposal to declare AAP leader Amanatullah Khan a 'Bad Character' (BC). This proposal was approved on 30 March 2022. It was said in the resolution that a total of 18 FIRs are registered against Amanatullah Khan in different cases.
