Amritsar: Days after punjab Congress leader and singer Sidhu Musewala was killed, state CM Bhagwant Mann has reached his native village in Mansa district on Friday. When the local Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA reached Musewala's house this morning, the mob had returned him. Ahead of CM Mann's visit, protests had started outside Sidhu Musewala's house on Friday morning. There is tension in the village. Locals are angry over the blockade by the police around the house. The police are accused of preventing the family from entering the house. Earlier, AAP MLA Gurpreet Banawali was also stopped by the protesters. He later apologized to the police. The Congress is blaming the ruling AAP government for the murder and is demanding a probe by the central agency. The same is the demand of Musewala's family. On Wednesday, a delegation led by Punjab Congress unit president Amarinder Singh Warring had met Governor Banwari Lal Purohit in this regard. Leader of opposition in the state assembly Partap Singh Bajwa had also hit out at the AAP for not meeting the bereaved family.
