New Delhi: Many people were no longer employed in the lockdown implemented during the corona epidemic. For such people, the Delhi Government is arranging free ration. The Kejriwal government has also been engaged in the exercise of distributing rations in schools from June 5 to those who do not have ration cards in Delhi. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Wednesday tweeted that even those who do not have ration cards in Delhi will start getting ration in schools from June 5. Rations have also started reaching schools on Wednesday. The Government is making all arrangements to make no shortage of foodgrains for any poor person in Delhi. Let us tell you that ration will be distributed to those without ration cards in every school in every 280 wards of Delhi. The Delhi Government will provide 4 kg of wheat and 1 kg of rice per person. The Delhi government had already decided to provide free ration to non-PDS beneficiaries in view of the lockdown imposed due to corona epidemic. Due to lockdown, the needy, who do not have ration cards and which include unorganized labourers, migrant labourers, building and construction workers, domestic help. Under this relief, foodgrains are eligible to be received. Under this, the benefit of ration will be extended to a maximum of 2 lakh beneficiaries in the initial phase and later to a maximum of 20 lakh beneficiaries as per requirement.
