Big blow to Congress before assembly elections, Sarita Arya joins BJP

Lucknow: After the country's largest state UP, now the process of changing the side of the leaders have started in Uttarakhand before the assembly elections. Congress has suffered a major setback amid reports of Minister Harak Singh Rawat joining Congress. Congress's women state president Sarita Arya has now joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Sarita Arya was annoyed by women getting less share in the party.

In Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami got Sarita Arya to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Meanwhile, a letter from Uttarakhand Congress has also been issued. In this, news of Sarita Arya being expelled from Congress for 6 years has been reported. It was written in the letter that the image of the party has been tarnished by her rhetoric.

It was only on Saturday that Sarita Arya, while in the Congress, questioned her campaign 'Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon'. She had said that we hope with this slogan. Sarita Arya had said that we demand that 20 per cent of tickets be reserved for women in Uttarakhand elections. Arya had further said that some women tell me that if you could not get a ticket for yourself, how will you give us?
