Lucknow: Despite the dire situation like Corona epidemic, a big jump has been registered in the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Uttar Pradesh. State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna has informed on Monday that the state's GSDP has increased by 40 percent during five years. While addressing a press conference in Lucknow, Khanna said that even after the Corona epidemic, Uttar Pradesh has done much better financial management. He told that in the year 2016-17, when the BJP government was formed in the state, the GSDP of the state was Rs 12 lakh 47 thousand crore. But now it has reached the level of Rs 17 lakh 49 thousand 469 crore. Thus, it has increased by about 40 percent in the last five years. He said that along with this the debt deposit ratio of the state has also increased by about six percent. When the BJP government came to power five years ago, this ratio was 46 per cent. Now it has increased by six percent. The Finance Minister also told that under the program announced by his department for the next 100 days, a loan of Rs 21 thousand crore will be given to the eligible people under various heads. Its program has already started. For this, a 15-day program has been asked to be made. He said that in the coming six months, Rs 51,000 crore loan would be disbursed and in the next five years Rs 2 lakh crore loan would be disbursed. Khanna informed that more than 90 thousand banking outlets have been opened in the state during the last five years. Banking outlets also include Bank Mitras and Bank Sakhi. About 1,14,882 Bank Mitras and Bank Sakhi support the common people in this banking system. At present there are 19,056 bank branches in Uttar Pradesh. Thus, there are total 1,33,938 banking outlets in the state.
