Bhubaneswar: In Odisha, the Border Security Force (BSF) seems to have had a lot of success. Following intelligence inputs, the BSF found and defused an explosive IED weighing between 3 and 5 kilogrammes. The Border Security Force (BSF) stated on Saturday that it had discovered an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing 3 to 5 kg hidden along a route in Odisha's Koraput district. At about 8.30 a.m. yesterday, the BSF's 151st Battalion launched a search operation based on specific intelligence inputs and retrieved the explosive IED. 'The explosive was buried at Puzhariput Chowk on Ramgiri Gupteshwar Road, around five kilometres from Company Operating Base (COB) Ramgiri in Koraput district,' according to the BSF. 'The bomb disposal team and explosive checking dog initially confirmed that an IED had been buried there, and then during inquiry, it was discovered placed on the pavement on the side of a road under construction near Pujariput Chowk,' according to the BSF. After recovering explosive material, the bomb disposal unit successfully defused the IED.
