An attacker has been piled by security forces. It is being told that the firing took place at 6 different places. At present, a high alert has been issued in the entire city. Police said the attacks were carried out at six locations, including near a shrine in the city centre, in which several suspects were seen armed with rifles. The firing began just hours before the Coronavirus lockdown was re-enacted in Austria, with people in bars and restaurants walking out and enjoying their last night of independence. The attacks began around 8 pm (1900 GMT) when gunshots were heard for the first time in the city. Austrian leader Kurz stated that the attackers were armed with automatic weapons and looked professional. Earlier, he tweeted and wrote, "our police will act decisively against the perpetrators of this repulsive terrorist attack. They have said that we will never be afraid of terrorism and we will fight these attacks in every way." Kurz said that the police are focusing on the anti-terrorist operation and the army will take over the security of the main buildings in Vienna.
