Patna: A Journalist has been shot dead by unarmed miscreants in the Begusarai district of Bihar. The incident took place in Sankho village in Parihar OP. Police, who rushed to the spot after being informed about the incident, has taken the body of the journalist into custody and sent it for postmortem. The deceased journalist Subhash Kumar was the only child of his parents. It is said that on the evening of May 20, journalist Subhash Kumar arrived to attend an auspicious event held in his village. After attending the auspicious programme, they were coming back to their homes at night. Meanwhile, on the way, the miscreants who were already ambushed opened fire at Subhash Kumar. The bullet from the miscreants hit Subhash Kumar in the head. Journalist Subhash Kumar blushed to the ground after being shot in the head. People nearby rushed to the spot on hearing the sound of gunshots. People rushed Subhash to the primary health centre in the rush for treatment. Doctors at the hospital declared Subhash Kumar brought dead. Police of Parihara police station, who rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident, have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. Assistant Sub-Inspector Naveen Kumar of Parihara police station said that separate investigations are being carried out regarding the murder of Subhash Kumar. He claimed that the accused would be arrested soon. The number of attackers is said to be three. Subhash's father Arjun Mahato said that he had fielded the wife of a close friend of his in the Panchayat elections as a ward member who also won. There was a dispute about it. It is also being told that Subhash Kumar had run continuous news against the sand and liquor mafia in the Bakhri area. Due to this, the possibility of the sand and liquor mafia being behind Subhash's murder is also being expressed. At present, the police are conducting a tip-off to arrest the three miscreants on the basis of suspicion of Subhash Kumar's family members. Journalists have expressed outrage over the incident and demanded that the accused be arrested soon.
