Patna: The National Ulema Council candidate from Gaya assembly constituency in Bihar was forced to sit on Buffalo and campaign. The case was filed against him under the Animal Atrocities Act, after which he was taken into custody by the Civil Line police station. National Ulema Council candidate Mohammad Pervez Alam was sitting on buffalo and campaigning for the assembly constituency. When he was questioned as to why he chose Buffalo for campaigning, he said I didn't have the money to buy expensive vehicles. There is only one buffalo with me. That's why I'm campaigning through this buffalo. Like every day, National Ulema Council candidate Mohammad Pervez Alam had come sitting on buffalo to campaign for the election. In the meantime, the Civil Line police arrested him. Police said the candidate was booked under the Animal Atrocities Act. However, Mohammad Pervez Alam was later released from the police station on bail. Pervez Alam, who was contesting from Gaya assembly constituency, was in the headlines for campaigning sitting on the buffalo.
