Chapra: After the closure of community kitchen and generator lights in Bihar's Chapra district, flood victims living on the roadside blocked the SH-73. The flood victims protested fiercely on Taraiya Masrakh SH near Gandar Bridge by blocking road. Due to this, a long line of trains on SH on both sides was jammed. After receiving the information, the Taraiya Police Station reached the scene with the whole team and tried to persuade angry people but did not agree to accept the flood victims. He says that high officials should be called and only after his assurance, he will end his performance. The flood victims say, 'flood water has collected in their homes'. All the people are taking shelter on the road. Even after this, the lights in the relief camp have been switched off by the administration. Due to the increase in the water level of the Ganges in Bihar, there has been a threat of flood in many areas, while the floodwaters are receding due to the rise of Gandak once again. The flood situation in 16 districts of the state has been caused due to the major rivers of the state being in spate, affecting the population of more than 81 lakh. Flood water has still accumulated in 130 blocks of 16 districts of the state, due to which 25 people have lost their lives so far.
