SYL Canal Controversy: Harayana CM and Punjab CM will meet today

There have been a number of meetings between the CMs of Haryana and Punjab on this matter, but this time this meeting is being held after the intervention of the Supreme Court. CM Manohar Lal is present in the building of the Ministry of Water Resources. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will attend this meeting through video conference.

The opposition is also eyeing what will be the result. There is a Congress Government in Punjab at this time and CM Amarinder Singh has been very strong against giving SYL water to Haryana. But there has also been Badal government in Punjab, but even in those times, Haryana could not get its rightful water. Even during the tenure of the previous BJP government in Haryana, a meeting of the Chief Ministers of neighbouring states was held in a hotel in Chandigarh in the presence of the then Union Minister Rajnath Singh. In that meeting, the Agriculture Minister of Haryana had made his point in a brilliant manner, but the case did not end.

This matter has become a political case between two states. The result has been only three stages of Dhaka. Punjab has always opposed SYL's pavni, will do so even today. There has been a walkout in both the legislative assemblies regarding this canal. The monsoon session of Haryana assembly is near. Politics will be intensified again. In the coalition government, Dushyant Chautala has also jumped on this matter at the right time.
