Bihar: Former RJD leader Shakti Malik shot dead in Purnia

Patna: The former RJD state secretary in Purya has been shot dead in his own house ahead of assembly elections in Bihar. The 40-year-old Shakti Mallick, who was the state secretary of the former SC-St cell of RJD at Hen Farm Road in Kehat police station area, was shot dead by the culprits.

The culprits shot three in the head of power. Shakti Malik's family has accused the RJD's big leaders of being killed. In the context of the incident, the mother of the deceased Shakti Malik said that three masked miscreants, who were covered with a garfish face at 6:30 in the morning, entered the house and fired three bullets into the son's head and chest.  He was then taken to Sadar hospital in his fast, where he died.

The father and wife of the deceased have accused senior RJD leaders, Ratan Yadav, Tejpratap Yadav, Kalu Paswan Anil Saha and Sunita Devi of being killed. He said Shakti Mallick was the state secretary in the first RJD. The party had sought Rs. 50 lakh in the name of giving tickets. Thereafter, he was ousted from the party.  He wanted to fill the candidature in the assembly elections from Raniganj this time. That is why the RJD leaders have murdered him. The police is currently investigating the matter.
