Kishanganj: Nagar Thana police of Kishanganj district in Bihar have seized 7,309 litres of foreign liquor as well as two smugglers from a truck. According to Kishanganj Divisional Police Officer Anwar Javed Ansari, 'Based on a tip-off, the said consignment of liquor was seized on Saturday from a truck passing through NH-27 near the bus stand.' He said the consignment of liquor was hidden behind the husk in the said truck numbered UP. Javed said, "The drivers of the said truck Paramjit Singh and Khalasi Ghanshyam have been arrested in this connection. Both are residents of Rajasthan.' According to reports, the consignment of liquor was brought from Assam. Meanwhile, truck driver Paramjit Singh was admitted to the Covid Centre in Maheshbathana for treatment after he was found positive in the corona test from where he escaped by scaling the wall on Tuesday night.
