Samastipur: The blood-soaked body of a priest was recovered from Hanuman temple at Mohanpur Nakku place in Mufassil police station area of Samastipur district of Bihar on Saturday morning. A crowd of people gathered around after the body was found. In the morning, some people had come to the temple to worship when they saw the corpse and started shouting. Police from Mufassil police station rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and questioned the people nearby after which the police placed the body in Sadar hospital for postmortem. However some locals are also saying that his nephew's property dispute with the priest was going on. As a result, it was the nephew who beat the priest to death late at night in the temple. The police will now investigate the matter. Daroga Kameshwar Sharma of Mufassil police station, who rushed to Sadar Hospital in the case, informed that police reached Ward No.8 in Mohanpur after receiving information about the incident. The body of a monk was found when he came here. The monk's sons said that three or four people had killed their father together. The victim's family has accused Anil Rai, his wife Radha Devi, sons Chhotu Kumar and Monu Kumar in connection with the murder case. All of them are residents of Mohanpur Ward 8. Anil Rai has been arrested in it. Further action will be taken after the post mortem.
