Railway accident: Train collided with JCB, engine failure

Patna: Information about the horrific railway accident has been revealed from Samastipur in Bihar state. The 05284 Janaki Express going from Samastipur to Manihari collided with the Pokallen JCB, the collision was so severe that the railway engine was badly damaged and the JCB coaches flew away. The driver of the JCB has been seriously injured in this dangerous accident. After the incident, local people admitted the driver to the hospital for treatment. Janaki Express was running 18 minutes late from its scheduled time.

The train left Samastipur station for Manihari at 7.38 am. When the train left towards Nayanagar station at 8.10 minutes, it hit a JCB near the level crossing near 11C. In this accident, no information about the casualty of any passenger on the train was revealed. On receiving the news of the accident, the officers of Samastipur Railway Division reached the spot and the Railway has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

Recently, it has been decided to run Janaki Express as a special train. After the lockdown, the service of this rail was stopped for almost 8 months, which was started by making special train on 10 November. Normal people were greatly relieved by this. Recently there was a train accident in Begusarai, Bihar. The wheel of a freight train going fast near Bachwara station derailed.
