Patna: A woman has been accused of burning her aunt and brother to death in the Naubatpur police station area of Patna district of Bihar. After receiving the report of the incident, the criminals thrashed the woman, after which the police arrested the criminal woman. A police official said on Thursday that a woman locked her aunt and cousin in a room and burnt her alive in a fight over land sale money in the Karnpura village of Naubatpur police station area. Both of them were dead by the time the villagers tried to save them somehow after receiving information. The deceased have been identified as Shanti Devi (70) of Karnpura village and her son Avinash Kumar. Angered by the incident, the people caught the criminal woman Madhuri Devi and started beating her. As soon as the news of this incident was received by the police, the police reached the spot and somehow rescued the criminal woman Madhuri Devi from the clutches of the mob. Naubatpur station in-charge Anurag Deepak said that both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem by the police and the criminal woman has been arrested. The police is probing the matter from all angles. The people of the village said that the deceased Shanti Devi had a dispute with her niece regarding property, due to which there was a dispute between the two. It is being said that the criminal wanted to get some land also in his name, but the deceased was not ready for it. Police is now probing the whole matter.
