This year neither traders have come here for the purchase and sale of animals nor have the appreciation and artists of the entertainment program. Earlier, Raj Malgir's Malmas Fair and Gaya's world-famous Pitra Pakshap Mela have also been offered to Corona. The written history of the commencement of this fair is not found anywhere, but local elders and experts say that this is the first time the fair has not been held. Senior journalist Surendra Manpuri, a resident of Sonepar, who has written a book about the historical and mythological site Sonepur fair, says that this fair has never been stopped in history. He said, there was an occasion in the 50s when it was felt that the fair would be closed, but at that time the fair was also held. The presence of people and shopkeepers was less. The fair was bright in the fair. This is the first time a fair has not been held and the fair complex is deserted. This fair, which starts from the day of Kartik Purnima (November-December) every year, is Asia's largest cattle fair.
