Birmingham Bears' Jacob Bethell Stuns with Acrobatic Catch in T20 Blast Clash

Birmingham:  Jacob Bethell, an all-rounder for Birmingham Bears, caught everyone's attention when he made a diving one-handed grab against Yorkshire during a T20 Blast match. The Yorkshire supporters, who were seated in the stands behind long-on, praised Bethell for his effort as England's captain during their Test against Australia earlier this year. The incident occurred after Jordan Thompson attempted to hit a boundary off of a Dan Mousley delivery on the second ball of the 19th over of the Yorkshire chase. Bethell, on the other hand, had different plans as he made a diving leap while sprinting to his left and then snatched the ball with one hand.

Yorkshire lost the game by four runs while attempting to chase down a target of 181, further damaging their chances of qualifying for the quarterfinals.

The aim was 12 from two balls, and David Wiese hammered Henry Brookes for three sixes in the final over with two wickets in hand.

Brookes, however, kept his cool and departed Yorkshire on 176/8.

Earlier, Birmingham scored 180-7 thanks to the 66 off 51 balls from opener Rob Yates.

However, Dom Bess, David Wiese, and Matthew Revis held the bears back from scoring a massive total.

Wiese claimed 1-26 from four seam overs and expertly varied his pace, while Bess contributed an outstanding 1-16 from three off-spin overs. Revis was chosen at the time.
