Zimbabwe: West Indies defeated Nepal in the 9th match of the ongoing ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023 in Zimbabwe. After this 101-run victory, West Indies have reached the top of the points table. Batting first, the Caribbean team scored a mammoth 339 for 7 thanks to centuries from Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran. In response, Nepal could only manage 238 runs in 49.4 overs.

With the help of centuries from Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran, West Indies registered a resounding victory over Nepal. With this victory, the West Indies team has reached the top of the points table in Group 'A'. Zimbabwe also has four points, but West Indies have got the advantage due to better net runrate. Netherlands and Nepal have two points each. America's account has not even been opened yet.

West Indies captain Shai Hope scored 132 runs, while Nicholas Pooran scored 115 runs. There was a 216-run partnership between the two for the fourth wicket. Braden King contributed 32 runs. Rovman Powell played an inning of 29 runs. Lalit Rajvanshi took three wickets for Nepal.

Chasing a huge target, Nepal got off to a poor start. The team lost its first wicket on the score of 5. Nepal's five wickets had fallen on the score of 92. Arif Sheikh (63) and Gulsan Jha (42) put up a bit of a fight. Captain Rohit Paudel contributed 30 runs. However, his efforts could not win the team. Nepal's team was reduced to 238 runs in 49.4 overs. Jason Holder took 3 wickets for West Indies.
