BJP alerted after Prophet controversy and Kanpur violence, gives these specific instructions to its spokespersons

New Delhi:The BJP seems to be on alert after former spokesperson Nupur Sharma's statement and the ongoing controversy over the Kanpur violence. It is being told that the spokespersons of the Uttar Pradesh unit have been instructed not to discuss these two issues in the news channel's debate. Interestingly, the BJP had suspended Sharma from the party due to his remarks on Prophet Mohammad.

According to the media report, a spokesperson of the UP BJP has said that, 'We have been asked not to participate in the debate on the Kanpur issue. It has been seen that many times anchors surround you to say something. If you reserve your statement on the issue, then an old statement of yours is brought to the fore and you are forced to say something which makes you seem anti-minority. Another spokesperson said he has been asked not to comment on the matter, including the Kanpur violence. However, she defended Sharma's statement. The spokesman said that, 'she did not say anything like an argument, but due to the fanatical attitude of Islamic countries to their religion, the matter got bigger.'

Let us know that UP CM Yogi Adityanath has been reacting strongly to the violation of law and order in the state. In such a situation, even in the Kanpur case, his silence is under question. However, deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak had publicly made statements on the Kanpur issue. According to the report, party insiders defended the CM, saying he was busy with the prime minister and the president. At the same time, the matter was resolved expeditiously and they did not issue a separate statement.
