Raipur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its second list of candidates for the forthcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. The list comprises 64 candidates, including three Members of Parliament (MPs) and 10 women candidates. This announcement is significant in shaping the party's strategy for the upcoming polls. Among the notable candidates in this list are three MPs who have been given tickets to contest the elections. Renuka Singh will be representing Bharatpur-Sonhat, Gomati Sai will be contesting from Pathalgaon, and the state BJP president, Arun Sao, will be seeking election from Lormi. Nanki Ram Kawar, a six-time MLA, has been nominated to represent the Rampur ST constituency. Notable leaders like Brijmohan Aggarwal, a former cabinet minister and seven-time MLA, will be contesting from Raipur South, while Ajay Chandrakar, a three-time cabinet minister, has been nominated to contest from the Kurud constituency. Another noteworthy candidate is Dharmjeet Singh Thakur, a former Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC) member who has now joined the BJP. He will be representing the Takhatpur constituency.
