New Delhi: The phase of rhetoric has started regarding the second largest festival of Muslims, Eid-ul-Azha i.e. Bakrid. Now Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Nandkishore Gurjar from Loni in Ghaziabad has given a controversial statement about Bakrid. He said that in the wake of Coronavirus, do not sacrifice this year, and if you want to sacrifice, then sacrifice your children instead of goats. He has also threatened to take strict action against those who sacrificed. MLA Nandkishore Gurjar urged Muslims not to sacrifice on the occasion of Bakrid. He said, 'Just as the people followed the government rules regarding Corona and did not even worship in mosques and temples. Similarly, do not give any sacrifice on Bakrid this year, because it is likely to spread the coronavirus infection.' Nandkishore Gujjar further said that earlier sacrifices were also made in Sanatan Dharma. But now only coconut is plucked. In the same way, Muslims should not be sacrificed now. If you want to sacrifice, then sacrifice your children, not the goats. He further said that he will also request the Ghaziabad administration to stop the sacrifice and will not allow any sacrifice in Loni. Earlier, BJP MLA Sangeet Som, while replying to SP MP Shafiqur Rahman, said that if Shafiqur Rahman's statement had merit then firstly Corona should have ended from Pakistan. Just as Azam Khan had sweet money in Eid jail, similarly his Bakrid will also be in jail. He said that where is it written that the animals which are cultivated on Bakrid should be cut, Eid can also be celebrated by eating greens and potatoes.
