Hyderabad: PM Narendra Modi on Sunday (July 3) addressed the BJP national executive meeting held in Hyderabad. In his address, the Prime Minister referred to Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar. He said that it was in Bhagyanagar that Sardar Patel had given the slogan of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.' We have only one thought stream - Nation First, we have only one programme - to end appeasement and we have to take the path of fulfilment. Earlier, in the meeting, he praised the candidature of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu and described it as historic. The Prime Minister's remarks came on the second day of the BJP's national executive meeting in Hyderabad, Telangana. According to the report, the Prime Minister mentioned Murmu's humble beginnings and his struggle of a lifetime. Prime Minister Modi asked the party cadre to emphasise the struggle and simplicity of their lives among the people. Prime Minister Modi also told the members of the BJP's national executive that if Murmu is elected in the presidential election to be held on July 18, then it is an honour for the country to become the country's first tribal woman president. He said that PM Modi said that even after struggling all his life, Murmu did not fail to achieve what she stood for. He also said that Murmu worked for the upliftment of every section of the society throughout his life.
