Dehradun: The Bharatiya Janata Party has released the second list of candidates for the Assembly elections-2022 late on Wednesday evening. Nine candidates, including former Chief Minister BC Khanduri's daughter and BJP Mahila Morcha state president Ritu Khanduri, have been given assembly tickets. In the 2017 elections, the BJP had contested from Yameshwar with Ritu. After giving tickets to 59 candidates in the first list, a total of 68 candidates have been given tickets so far. Of the same 70 assembly seats, the names of candidates are now left to be announced only in Doiwala and Tehri seats. On the other hand, in Jageshwar, the congress candidate, former Vice President Govind Singh Kunjwal, will take on his old associate Mohan Singh Mehra. BJP has cut the tickets of Jhabreda MLA Deshraj Karnawal, Rudrapur MLA Rajkumar Thukral and Lalkuan MLA Navin Dumka in the second list. In such a situation, it is now expected that the voices of protest will also intensify in the BJP.
