Ahmedabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is gearing up for the Gujarat elections, has decided to give rest to its workers. The BJP has given three days' leave to the workers. The state has been in power by the BJP for the last 27 years. A senior BJP leader said, "There is no major party programme in Gujarat till May 5. There are 11 lakh registered workers of the BJP in Gujarat. Apart from Gujarat, assembly elections are also proposed in Himachal Pradesh this year. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is also seen in an active role in Gujarat. During a rally in the tribal area of Bharuch, AAP national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had said that the BJP can take the path of early elections.
