BJP Set to Reveal CMs for Rajasthan, MP, and Chhattisgarh Amid MP Resignations

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is anticipated to announce its Chief Minister selections for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh today. This speculation gains momentum as ten BJP Members of Parliament have resigned from the Lok Sabha after winning the Assembly elections in these three states. Among those who stepped down are notable figures like union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Patel, Diya Kumari, Kirori Lal Meena, Renuka Singh, and Gomti Sai.

Their resignations have fueled conjecture about the BJP's top brass finalizing the candidates for the CM roles in these states. It's worth noting that under the Constitution, an individual cannot simultaneously serve as an MP and an MLA.

The party's key figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president JP Nadda, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, held a crucial meeting at the PM's residence that lasted over four hours on Tuesday night to deliberate on this matter. Sources within the party suggest that fresh faces might be considered for these crucial positions, possibly with an eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, the potential return of Vasundhara Raje, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Raman Singh as CMs is not entirely dismissed.

This meeting coincided with the Congress party's announcement of TPCC president A Revanth Reddy as its choice for Chief Minister in Telangana, putting an end to the suspense over their selection process.
