New Delhi: The eminent Congress trio, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Rahul Gandhi, are set to attend the inauguration of Chief Minister designate Revanth Reddy at Hyderabad's LB Stadium on Thursday, December 7, at 1 pm.

Ahead of the event, Revanth Reddy convened meetings with AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and General Secretary KC Venugopal in New Delhi to finalize plans for the swearing-in ceremony and discuss potential cabinet appointments.

Revanth Reddy, currently serving as a Member of Parliament from the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, is expected to tender his resignation as an MP today. Security measures have been intensified at Reddy's residence in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, with an increased police presence.

The Chief Secretary of Telangana, Santhi Kumari, chaired a meeting on Monday to oversee arrangements for the upcoming ceremony and the subsequent formation of the council of ministers. The police department has been instructed to manage traffic, parking, and overall security.

Officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) have been tasked with repairing roads leading to the venue. Additionally, the energy department has been directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the event.

Congress leaders have enthusiastically welcomed Reddy's appointment as the new chief minister, expressing confidence that the Congress-led government will prioritize democratic principles and work towards a pro-poor governance agenda.
