New Delhi: Y.S.R. Congress Party (YSRCP) President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy plans to lead a protest in the capital on Wednesday, addressing what he describes as worsening law and order issues and violence in Andhra Pradesh.

Reports suggest that Reddy may request meetings with President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to highlight the situation.

This will be Reddy’s first trip to Delhi since his party’s recent loss in the assembly elections. During his visit, he will also open a one-day photo and video exhibition at the India International Centre, aimed at displaying what the party claims is targeted violence against its members in Andhra Pradesh.

The YSRCP’s invitation to the event criticizes the violence allegedly perpetrated by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporters against YSRCP leaders, workers, and sympathizers. The party accuses local police of ignoring these incidents and even supporting the violent acts.

Reddy’s protest is occurring against a backdrop of escalating political tensions in Andhra Pradesh. The YSRCP accuses the ruling TDP of orchestrating attacks on its members.

Reddy claims that in just one month under the new government, there have been 31 murders, nearly 300 murder attempts, 35 suicides due to TDP harassment, destruction of approximately 560 private properties, vandalism of 490 government properties, and around 2,700 families forced to flee their villages due to these incidents.
