YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that his party will stage a peaceful protest in New Delhi on July 24 to highlight what they claim is worsening lawlessness and anarchy in Andhra Pradesh since N. Chandrababu Naidu's tenure as Chief Minister. The protest aims to draw national attention to these issues.

Reddy also mentioned that the party has requested meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Home Minister Amit Shah. These meetings are intended to brief them about the alleged decline in law and order in Andhra Pradesh under the current TDP-led government.

"We are organizing this peaceful protest on July 24 to bring attention to the chaos and lawlessness that have gripped Andhra Pradesh in the 45 days since N. Chandrababu Naidu took office," Reddy stated on the social media platform X.

YSRCP members, including MLAs, MPs, and MLCs, will participate in the New Delhi demonstration. Reddy accused the TDP, BJP, and Janasena alliance of undermining democracy in the state and pledged that the YSRCP will oppose these actions.

According to Reddy, the state has witnessed 36 political murders and 300 attempted murders within two months of Naidu's administration. He also claimed that 37 individuals have committed suicide due to alleged harassment by the TDP, suggesting that these conditions warrant President's rule in Andhra Pradesh.

On Friday, Reddy visited Vinukonda in the Palnadu district to meet the family of Sheik Rashid, a YSRCP activist who was murdered recently. Reddy alleged that the suspect, Sheik Jilani, is associated with the TDP, though the ruling party has denied this claim.

Reddy criticized the police for their handling of Rashid's murder, accusing them of downplaying the incident and failing to take appropriate action against the accused. He described Rashid's death as a "deliberate act to instill fear" and criticized the police for allegedly targeting victims rather than the perpetrators.

He also called for an apology from Naidu and urged the state government to protect those who did not vote for the TDP.

Additionally, the YSRCP alleged that Reddy's convoy faced delays due to multiple checkpoints and was only allowed a limited number of vehicles. Reddy had to switch from a malfunctioning bulletproof vehicle to a private car during his trip to Vinukonda. The party claimed that the vehicle breakdown was due to the old bulletproof vehicle's air conditioning failure.

Furthermore, the YSRCP accused the NDA government of abruptly reducing Reddy's security ahead of his Vinukonda visit.
