Bengal elections: TMC-Left may release list of candidates today

Kolkata: In West Bengal, 30 seats will be voted on March 27 in the first phase. Earlier, the churning of the names of the candidates in BJP, Trinamool Congress (TMC), and Left are going on. The BJP Central Election Committee meeting lasted till midnight. The names of 60 candidates from Bengal and 50 from Assam were approved in the meeting. But this meeting will continue even today. On the other hand, TMC and Left can also announce candidates today.

The names of 60 candidates of Bengal have been finalized in the BJP's meeting held late on Thursday night. In Assam too, the names of 50 candidates have been finalized after talks about the alliance. The candidates of West Bengal will be announced after the rally to be held on Sunday at the Prime Minister's Brigade Ground. According to sources, in the meeting on the first day, it has become clear that his old colleague Shubhendu Adhikari from Nandigram will be fielded against Mamata Banerjee.

However, BJP leader Mukul Roy says that the workers want Shubhendu's candidature, but it has not been decided. Subhendu officer, who left Mamta's company, has already talked about defeating her. In the BJP meeting, the decision on the candidature of Dilip Ghosh has not been decided, while two MLAs from TMC are also reported to have lost their tickets.
