BJP will struggle to cross Double-Digit mark in West Bengal, Political Strategist Prashant Kishor

The election strategist Prashant Kishor on Monday tweeted that the BJP will struggle to cross the double-digit mark in assembly polls. The tweet came a day after teh Union Home Minister Amit Shah left the state successfully completing his two-day high voltage campaign in West Bengal. The strategist was appointed by the TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee to strengthen her party's poll prospects.

Prashant Kishor said that he would quit the microblogging site if the saffron party does any better than what he predicted. "For all the hype amplified by a section of supportive media, in reality, BJP will struggle to cross double digits in West Bengal," he tweeted. He added, "Please save this tweet and if BJP does any better I must quit this space!". Suvendu Adhikari, a heavyweight TMC MP and nine other MLAs joined its West Bengal camp. BJP has asserted that it would win over 200 seats in the upcoming polls.

In response to Kishor's tweet, BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, said the country would end up losing a poll strategist after Bengal elections. "Given the ongoing BJP tsunami in Bengal; once the new government is formed, the country will have to lose an election strategist," Vijayvargiya quipped on Twitter. Assembly elections are likely to be held in West Bengal in April-May 2021.

After Amit Shah's visit, Mamta shows sharp attitude

'If you vote for BJP, you will be killed', open threat written on wall in Bengal
