Body of Unidentified Woman Found Dismembered on Train in Indore

Indore, Madhya Pradesh: On Sunday, the Government Railway Police (GRP) discovered the body of an unidentified woman, dismembered and stuffed into two bags, on a train in Indore. The grisly find was made on the Dr Ambedkar Nagar-Indore passenger train.

The woman's upper body, from head to waist, was found in a trolley bag, while her lower body was found in a plastic bag. Both hands and legs were missing. The deceased is believed to be between 20 and 25 years old.

The police suspect that the woman was murdered elsewhere one or two days ago, and her body parts were placed on the train on Saturday night.

The discovery was made after a sanitation worker informed the authorities. GRP station in-charge Sanjay Shukla said the train had arrived in Indore on Saturday night. After passengers had disembarked, the train was moved to the yard for maintenance.

Efforts are underway to identify the woman, and the case is being actively investigated by the police.
