Fugitive diamond trader Mehul Choksi has received some relief from the Bombay High Court. The Bombay High Court has directed the special court to hear a petition by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) but not pass a final order declaring Choksi as an Economic Fugitive Offender (FEO) for the next four weeks. After the declaration of FEO, the investigating agency gets the right to seize the property of the accused. Choksi filed a petition in the Bombay High Court against the ongoing action in the lower courts. The Bombay High Court will hear this after four weeks.
