Brajbhushan Singh Sharan is no longer the president of WFI, Olympic Association took action

New Delhi: Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh technically ceased to be the President of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) on 13 May 2023. In fact, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Saturday barred all the outgoing office bearers of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) from attending any administrative function and economic functioning of the federation with immediate effect. The latest decision of the IOA is considered very important in view of the dharna of the country's top wrestlers at Jantar Mantar.

IOA has issued a statement in this regard. The statement cited an order dated April 24, 2023, by the Sports Ministry. The IOA has asked the WFI to immediately hand over all documents, accounts and logins for entries to overseas or international events, website operations. Let us inform that, the Sports Ministry had declared Null And Void (legally invalid) of the Wrestling Federation of India.

The Sports Ministry had also entrusted the task of conducting and conducting the federation's elections to a temporary committee of the IOA. Let us inform that, wrestlers against Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh have been protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar for the past several days and are demanding the arrest of Braj Bhushan.
