Britney Spears pushes court to remove Jamie Spears from conservatorship

The American singer Britney Spears is under the conservatorship trial. The trail day by day seems to get messier and so the songwriter pushes to the court to remove her father from the conservatorship. The 38-year-old singer's conservatorship has been in place since 2008 and earlier in 2020, she made moves to change it.

The news recently came up that Britney herself “strongly opposes” her father Jamie’s returning. Her father is the sole conservator, a source tells People magazine that the actress still wants the conservatorship to end at some point, but more urgently right now she doesn’t want her dad to regain the sole conservator role. Jamie is a very old school. He treats Britney like a child. The renowned actress was placed under conservatorship in the year 2008 when the courts decided that she is not capable of making decisions about her finances and health care. The court still continues saying to believe her that she isn’t capable yet. The source of People magazine has also passed on some statements about the songwriter. The source also added to their statement saying, “She is very disappointed in the drama that he caused with her boys.”

Jamie argued in court filings saying he has done a good job. He's taken his daughter's estate from being in debt to its current value of over $60 million – all while restoring his daughter "too good health, reunite her with her children, and revive her career." Her sister Lynn Spears has made new legal moves at the same time so that she stays involved in her sister’s finances.
