BSF Jawan wounded in Pak shelling !

Jammu: On Tuesday night, heavy Pakistani firing injured a Border Security Force (BSF) officer along the international border in RS Pura and Arnia sub sectors of Jammu. The victim identified as Assistant sub inspector, AK Upadhyaya, wounded in crossfire, after, which he was taken to hospital.

According to BSF Jammu frontier deputy inspector general, Dharmender Pareekh, “exchange of fire mainly took place in RS Pura sector, and went on till about 11:30 pm on Tuesday night. There was intermittent firing in Arnia”.

Gunfire started in Sai Kalan and Arnia at around 1: 30 am today, said Jammu deputy commissioner Simrandeep Singh.

“People were inside their houses, so no human casualties were reported but deaths and injuries are expected as the day progresses,” he added.
