Haryana assembly election: BSP releases first list of candidates, announces 41 names

Chandigarh: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has released the first list of its candidates for Haryana Assembly elections 2019. The party has announced the names of 41 candidates in the first list. In Haryana, 90 seats of the assembly are to be voted on October 21 and the results are due on October 24. But the BSP has just announced its candidates for only 41 seats.

Earlier, Mayawati had announced an alliance with Dushyant Chautala's JJP in Haryana, but later denied it. After this, the news about the meeting of Congress leaders with Mayawati also came in the media. It was reported that on September 8, Congress leaders Bhupinder Hooda and Kumari Selja had a meeting with BSP President Mayawati. This conversation lasted about half an hour late at night. On 6 September, the BSP broke the alliance with the JJP.

Let me tell you that about 2 months ago, JJP, the party of BSP and Dushyant Chautala, had formed an alliance, but this alliance broke before the elections. BSP Chief Mayawati had announced to break the alliance with JJP and said that her party will compete in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections on its own.
