BSP demands immediate attention on rising prices of fuel

Lucknow: Petrol and diesel prices are skyrocketing these days. Now Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has expressed concern about these rising prices. Mayawati says, 'The prices of petrol and diesel in the country are skyrocketing, and crores of hardworking people and those from the middle class are repeatedly calling for help. But on this important issue of public welfare, the government is a silent spectator, which is extremely sad'

Today, the BSP chief has made two tweets. In her first tweet, Mayawati wrote, 'After the government control on the price of essential commodities like petrol, diesel, cooking gas in the country, the price of these are increasing uninterrupted by unrestrained and rapid rise is everywhere. And the life of the public has become very sad and stricken. Taking cognizance of the seriousness of the situation, the government should find a solution.'

At the same time, in her next tweet, Mayawati has written, "With the arbitrary increase of additional taxes on the central and state governments, especially on petrol and diesel, their prices are skyrocketing and its direct burden has come on crores of poor and unemployed people. Does the constitution ensures such principles a welfare government?'' This is not the first time that Mayawati has targeted the government by tweeting like this, she has done so before.
