M Venkaiah Naidu writes to all members of Upper House to preserve Indian languages

New Delhi: International Mother Language Day is being observed today on 21 February worldwide. In such a situation, the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha and Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has congratulated the countrymen. He congratulated all the countrymen through a tweet. In his tweet he writes, ''We all should promote our mother tongue.'' You can see the tweeted a message on International Mother Language Day in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Bengali, Telugu, Odia, and other Indian languages.


In his tweet, he wrote, “My greetings on International Mother Language Day. Linguistic diversity has always been one of the foundational pillars of our civilization. More than just a means of communication, our mother languages connect us with our heritage and define our socio-cultural identity."


Along with this, he urged MPs to contribute towards promoting Indian languages. In fact, the Vice President first described the learned and spoken mother tongue as the 'soul of life'. Yesterday, he made a passionate appeal to all MPs in a three-page letter.
