Candidates preparing for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors in various subjects in the Universities of Bihar State have been given another opportunity by the State Government. The last date to apply for the recruitment of 4638 Assistant Professor posts has been extended once again by Bihar State University Service Commission. According to the fresh notice issued by the Commission on 2 December, the Bihar Assistant Professor Recruitment 2020 can now be applied online till 10 December. Earlier, the last date to apply was extended from 2 November to 2 December. The last date for submission of hard copy of the application submitted online to the Commission's office along with photocopy of the documents sought has been extended from 24 December to 30 December 2020 (till 5 pm).

Educational Qualifications: The eligibility for Bihar Assistant Professor recruitment is different according to the subjects (stream), which is based on the rules UGC has adopted. For the posts of Arts, Commerce, Science, Social Science, Humanities, Language, Education, Law, Library Science, Physical Education and Journalism and Mass Communication subjects, PG should be passed with minimum 55% marks in the respective subject and must have passed UGC NET or State SET exam. As per the rules, the candidates who have done PhD have been exempted from the requirement of NET.
Selection Process: Candidates for the recruitment of Bihar Assistant Professor will be selected on the basis of their educational qualification and interview. 100 marks for academic qualification and 15 marks for interview. The final selection will be done on the basis of merit list made according to the marks obtained in total 115 marks.
