Budget for Uttarakhand to be unveiled on March 15

UTTARAKHAND: On March 13,  the Uttarakhand Budget Session will begin. On March 15, the budget will be presented to the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.

The Chief Minister Office (CMO) states that in order to prepare the budget, consultations are being held with all sections and suggestions are being taken from each section.  Responses from young people, women, business owners, and budding young entrepreneurs are requested in order to build an inclusive budget.

On March 4, government authorities announced that the state cabinet would meet in Gairsain during the Vidhansabha's budget session, with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presiding.

In the meantime, the opposition party Congress declared it will occupy the assembly in protest over the Adani case, the Ankita murder case, and the recruiting scandal.

Karan Mahara, the president of the State Congress, "The working class, women, and young are protesting the administration, thus the Congress will gherao the assembly and hold a demonstration in Gairsain on the first day of the budget session to wake up the government. All of the party's key leaders and all of the MLAs will be present during the gherao and demonstration."

The session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly will take place from March 13–18, it was agreed at a cabinet meeting with ministers on March 15 under the leadership of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It was decided to hold the Assembly session in Bharadisain in Gairsain during the cabinet meeting presided over by the Uttarakhand chief minister.
